Common Parking Regulations
No parking on any New London Streets from 11 pm until 7 am from November 1st to April 1st
Parking at Bucklin Beach (fenced area) and at Pleasant Lake Beach are by valid New London Parking Permit only.
Visitors or guests of New London Residents may go to the Town Office for temporary permits.
Parking at Otter Pond beach is only on the water side. The other side is private property and posted for no parking. Park your vehicles facing the same way as traffic. This helps prevent you from getting a ticket and in an accident.
Parking overnight on Main Street is prohibited.

Also during snow removal operations parking may be prohibited when signs are up. There are parking areas that are marked for a short duration of time. Be sure to pay attention to signs.
Parking in handicap areas is strictly enforced.
When it is hot out please leave your dog happy at home and not dying in the car.
Involved in a car accident?
Here’s what to do: Anyone injured? Call 911. If not call the department’s non emergency number 526-2626 · NH law requires parties involved exchange information.
Striking a dog requires notifying police.
If there is personal injury or vehicle damage over $1,000 combined then the accident report needs to be filed with the state. Either a responding police officer can take care of this requirement or if no police responded then stop by the police department to pick up a report form.
If the other party is irate contact police immediately to help calm the situation.
Leaving the scene of an accident damaging someone else’s property without exchanging information or going directly to the nearest police department is a criminal offense.
Protect your belongings and vehicle:
Keep your car doors lockedwhen car is unattended. Do not leave your car running unattended. Not only is it against the law, but it also becomes a prime target for car thieves. Keep packages, electronic equipment and valuables out of sight or locked in the trunk.
