The Town of New London has hired Detective Ernest G “Buddy” Rowe.  Buddy was born and educated locally attending Sunapee High School and Plymouth State University.  Upon completion of college he became a part time police officer for Newbury Police Department, becoming a certified part time officer 5/7/05.  In December 2005, Buddy joined Newport police department until March 2017 when he was hired by New London. He became a Full Time Certified Officer 11/17/2006.  During his tenure with Newport police department Buddy moved through the ranks from Patrolman to Corporal, Detective Sgt, and Lieutenant.  Buddy and his wife Caitlin live in Newport with their two daughters Elsa 4 years old and Hattie 1 year old. We are delighted to have Buddy join our Police Force and manage our Investigations department..
