Dare

In 1990, Chief David Seastrand, then Sergeant, started instructing the DARE program for sixth graders attending the Kearsarge Regional Middle School. From 1995 to 2005 Detective Chris Currier taught DARE. In 2006, Officer Jodi Bailey started teaching in the fifth grade at the New London Elementary School. Other instructors are Chief Jonathan Korbet, Sutton P.D.,and Officer Ron Carter, Warner Police Department. Students work hard to complete the DARE program.  This includes work in work books, class participation, and writing a DARE Essay.

We talk about Peer Pressure, Stress, Self-Esteem, Media, and other topics that may lead kids to try or use tobacco, alcohol, and/or marijuana.
